PRIMARY CARE
EVJ staff service will protect service users from any form of negligence or harm. The service will make sure that health and social care needs are assessed and reviewed to ensure higher standard of care and right support of care are met at the right time. However, each person has their own identity, needs, wishes, choices, beliefs and values. Therefore, everyone will be supported to make choices about their care and support. The service’s care is based on person-centred values. Information will be provided unambiguous; therefore, service users can understand to make informed choices. Nevertheless, when we are working alongside patients with cognitive impairment, we will provide an equal quality service by implementing various forms of communication.
Staff will also undergo further training that will enhance their communication skills. Again, the service will promote individual independence by reflecting at what the service users can do independently and empowering them to do as much as possible for themselves. This does not mean leaving them to do things by themselves, but to have a strength based-approach. EVJ staff are trained to provide an excellent quality care, we treat patients with respect and dignity, we value their individuality and their ethical and moral beliefs. EVJ staff will act professionally at all times, and will have an open and positive attitude towards patients. The Human Rights Act 1989 is the main legislation that sets out the rights for people in the United Kingdom. Individuals have the freedom of speech and their autonomy will be kept safe.

We will provide a safe and non-bias environment so that people will comfortable to express their views. We will gather the reviews and investigate every aspect of concerns as well as other factors in order to strengthen our weak areas and work towards an improved care.
